Although he has released on a wide variety of labels – GLBDOM, Love On The Rocks, Handy Records and Ravenelli Disco Club included – Malik Kassim AKA Retromigration can most often be found offering up deliciously deep house on Wolf Music Recordings. It’s to that label that he returns with Ausfahrt 9, his first solo single of 2025. He begins by wrapping heady synth stabs, chiming melodies and dreamy sonics around a nostalgic deep house groove on ‘Unused’, before upping the tempo and tactility on the lightly garage-house influenced warmth of ‘Hurt’, Over on side B, soul-flecked, sub-heavy immersive deep house treat ‘Gene’ is followed by the Italo-house influenced breeze of ‘Exit 9’ and the string-drenched, wide-eyed classiness of ‘Team Spirit’.
