Oh OneOne Vinyl is a lifestyle brand that aims at investigating, documenting and promoting
vinyl culture in Johannesburg. Oh OneOne Vinyl is the brainchild of two vinyl enthusiasts
and collectors, who met in Johannesburg at a vinyl only party back in 2013. While Oh
OneOne Vinyl looks to promote the lifestyle of those who love vinyl, Oh OneOne Music
seeks to discover and expose the music scene that makes Johannesburg such a diverse city in terms of entertainment.
This is essentially a journey to document the city of Johannesburg, music, vinyl culture and the lived experiences of the two guys from the Free State showcasing and contributing to what they love.
In case you are wondering why the name ‘Oh OneOne’, it’s simply because 011 is the area
code of Johannesburg. Also, if you know black South Africans, when we give out our phone numbers, we hardly say zero one but say the letter “O” one.
