Andras – Sanity Vinyl

Description

Andras (of “Andras and Oscar” fame) has decided to launch a record label, the oddly named Punp. The talented Aussie has naturally chosen to handle the debut release, serving up a trio of cuts designed for club play. The real killer is A-side “100% Vinyl”, an aural two-fingered salute at format snobs that sits somewhere between spacey, Motor City-influenced deep house, mutant Chicago jack and the producer’s usual synth-heavy goodness. Over on the flip, “40K” doffs a cap to various turn-of-the-90s styles (bleep, Belgian hardcore, proto-tech-house) while carving its own deep and undulating niche, while “Sanitiser” sees him combining similar elements with some New Jersey garage organs with similarly solid results.
